Dolphin and Wales watching
Introduction
Sri Lanka is becoming a major spot for watching Whales and Dolphins of western,
Southern and Eastern part coastal of the Island. The main season of Whale Watching
in Sri Lanka is during the months of December to April. During these months there
is 98% chances of spotting Sperm Whales and great chances of spotting Blue Whales
as their migration path is just off Dondra Point in suthern part of the Island.
Kalpitiya is the very suitable places to watch Dolphins.. At a time you can witness
1000-1500 Dolphins. Alankuda beach in Kalpitiya is best location in West coast.
Whale and Dolphin watching is also possible during June to September off the eastern
shores such as Trincomalee In eastern part of the Island
